Isolated limb perfusion

A procedure used to administer anticancer drugs directly to a limb. The circulation of blood to and from the arm or leg is blocked with a tourniquet for a temporary period of time, and anticancer drugs are put directly into the limb circulation. This permits an individual to receive a high dose of drugs in the area where the cancer exists. Also known as limb perfusion.
