| Hunder criteria
Standards defined by Hunder (2000) at the Mayo Clinic for the diagnosis of polymyalgia rheumatica, an inflammatory condition of unknown etiology. Criteria include persistent pain for at least 1 month involving two of the following areas: neck, shoulders, and pelvic girdle; morning stiffness lasting longer than 1 hour; rapid response to prednisone; absence of other diseases capable of causing the musculoskeletal symptoms; patients age exceeding 50 years; erythrocyte sedimentation rate exceeding 40 mm/hour. All criteria must be satisfied for the diagnosis to be confirmed. | |
