Spring is right around the corner, and with the arrival of spring comes gardening season. Now is the time to begin planning for a bountiful harvest of fruits and vegetables as well as the beautiful splendor of flowers. Planting a seed, watering it and watching the miracle of nature as it grows is indeed a special pleasure.
Our garden seed displays will be available the first part of March. Again this year we will have seeds from Irish Eyes/Garden City, Seeds of Change and Seed Savers Exchange. You will find a wide selection of vegetable, fruit and flower seeds from amaranth to zucchini and nearly everything in between. Our seeds are selected to be the best suited for our climate. All of our seeds are free of any genetic engineering and many are certified organic.
Seed Savers Exchange offers a large selection of heirloom seeds to continue the genetic preservation of vanishing garden heritage. Seed Savers has been promoting the heirloom seed movement since 1975.
In addition to our seeds we will again have available a limited selection of tomato plants, herb plants and Chef Special herb baskets from the JLazyB near Great Falls, Montana. The tomato plants will be primarily of the heirloom varieties. The plants will be delivered to us for Mother’s Day weekend and again Memorial Day weekend.
New for this year will be a selection of medicinal plant seeds from Horizon Herbs of Oregon. This is the perfect opportunity to grow plants for making your own tinctures or salves.
So whether you’re planting a garden large enough to feed your family or just growing a few fresh herbs, we can help you with your planting needs.
